What we collect

When you register for a class or a class bundle, or buy a gift card, we collect the details you give us:

• Your name and email address.
• The name of the dancer (or dancers) attending, if that isn’t you.
• Which class or bundle you’re booking, and how many spots.
• For a gift card: how many you bought, and the code on each, so we can resend it if it goes astray.

Payments

Card payments are handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe. Your full card number is entered on Stripe’s secure page — we never see it and never store it. We only receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, and the name and email attached to the order.

Why we collect it

We use your information only to run the classes: to hold your spot, to contact you about your booking, to email you any gift cards you buy, to take payment, and to keep the records we’re required to keep for bookkeeping and tax.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising. We do rely on a few trusted service providers to run the site, and your information passes through them only so they can do that job:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Vercel and Neon — hosting for the website and its database.
• Resend — sending the emails this site sends automatically, such as your gift card.
• Microsoft (Outlook) — our email.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for 6 years, to comply with Canadian tax record keeping. You can ask us to delete any information we’re not required to keep.

Dancers under 18

If the dancer attending is under 18, the booking should be made by a parent or guardian, who provides the dancer’s name on their behalf.

Cookies

The public site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. It uses two small cookies of its own, and only to work. One is set when you use the cart or buy a gift card. It holds a random ID for your cart if you use it, and an encrypted number for your latest gift card order if you buy one (kept for about two weeks), never your name, email or card details. It keeps your cart, and if you go back from the payment page, it keeps what you entered. The other keeps Jessica signed in to the private admin area, which customers never see.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Just email us at jessicafelixdance@outlook.com and we’ll take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
